Dr.
R. Dean Glassman
graduated with his medical degree in 1981 from
Universidad de Michoacan School, Escuela de Medicina, "Dr.
Ignacio Chavez", Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. Dr. Glassman completed
his internship at University Hospital of Jacksonville,
Florida. He completed his residency in General Surgery at
University Hospital of Jacksonville and Georgetown University
Hospital, Washington D.C. Dr. Glassman completed his Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery specialty at University Hospital Jacksonville,
Florida. During this time he completed a preceptorship in
Pediatric Congenital and Craniofacial Surgery at the Tampa Bay Craniofacial
Center in Tampa, Florida under the direction of Dr. Mutaz Habal.
Dr. Glassman completed
Fellowship training in Congenital Craniofacial Pediatric Plastic
Surgery at the GEA Gonzalez General Hospital in Mexico City, Mexico
and Fellowship training in Traumatic Craniofacial/Microvascular
Surgery at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Glassman is a Clinical
Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Florida as
well as a Consultant in the Plastic Surgery Clinic at the Nemours
Children's Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Glassman is board
certified by the American
Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the following professional

Dr. Glassman is a published author who
is a frequent participant on Medical Missions. He is a member of
C.H.O.R.E.S. (Children's Health Organization & Relief Educational
Services) and has frequented countries such as the Philippines,
Mexico, Nicaragua, and the West Indies to provide medical care and
services to children who are in need.
